This smoothie was actually inspired by one of my clients who is a flight attendant! Her job takes her all over the world, and she is always discovering, and seeking out cute little health huts, shops, juiceries and healthy eats to consume, and take back on the plane with her. As we all know plane food is abysmal O_O.
Back from one of her European jaunts she shared her discovery of the coolest and cutest health eatery in Denmark (no surprise right? The danish are so cool), that output delicious, and drool worthy smoothies, juices, treats, and eats. They are more paleo focused, but also heavy on the plants. The one thing that caught my attention was when she mentioned she had a green smoothie with apple cider vinegar (ACV) in it! Now, me and ACV are two peas in a pod, but I’ve never though to put it into a smoothie, albeit a green one at that. But after hearing her describe it’s delight, and witnessing her scrumptious expression when she describe it, my curiosity for all things to do with my health, and the body, led me to devise this metabolism boosting, chlorophyll rich, ACV infused magical elixir you see pictured.
I will forever express my love for this astringent liquid, and have done so many times here before, most notably here, but I’ve never consumed it in this capacity, until last week. This above post shares exactly why you should be consuming it, if you’re not already. It’s one of the most healing ‘beverages’ on the planet. I know some of you might think that calling this a beverage, and drinkable a little crazy, but once you get used to it, I promise you, it can and will change your life. It’s life changing, i’ll leave it at that.
This smoothie is also filled to the brim with nutrient dense greens, obviously, and insanely healthy fats that make this smoothie low in sugar, while revving up your metabolic system, aka internal fireplace, to take your energy, and overall mood to the next level.
Let’s set your soul on fire, along with your bod with this recipe.
ACV YOUR GREENS
– Generous handful of spinach
-3-4 stems of kale
-One cup of coconut milk
-Scoop of protein powder – I’m using Beauty Chef’s right now
-3-4 ice cubes
-1/2 frozen banana
-Tsp coconut oil
-2 tsp of apple cider vinegar
♥ I topped it with broccoli sprouts to x10 it’s potency, because I’m crazy like that, but it’s not necessary. I’m just ‘wild’ with my greens intake.
Q: Have you ever tried vinegar in your smoothies? Or is this idea a little too crazy?
note: I promise you this tastes insanely delicious, if it didn’t I wouldn’t be posting!
Let me know if you try it, I would love to hear!
HAPPY FRIDAY BEAUTS.
